Jeff is a data-driven financial marketplace that connects people with most suitable financial products via using alternative data. Our goal is to unlock financial services for the underbanked across the emerging markets in Southeast Asia - and eventually globally.

Launched in 2020, Jeff has quickly grown into a 35+ people team across 7 countries. To date, we have attracted $5 Million in funding from business angels and prominent Venture Capital funds, expanding into 4 markets & aiming to enter 2 more in the nearest future.

More than 5 million people have been serviced and more than 50M products have been compared. While doing so, the company has achieved profitability & is approaching the $10 Million Annual revenue mark - and we are just getting started! 🚀

As we enter the next phase in our journey, we are looking for a Data Scientist to help us build new exciting products and features that take advantage of Machine Learning.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Build solutions to improve user acquisition, activation and retention by predicting the important questions - Who? How? When?
• Work closely with Data, Marketing and Product teams to improve across multiple business metrics
• Launch predictive solutions on cloud for users/internal teams to use
• Run experiments and monitor results. Present them to stakeholders
• Exploratory data analysis to test hypotheses
• Design, launch and improve solutions that predict total lifetime value, cross sell possibilities, credit score

You have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Finance or related field
• 2+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or similar role
• 2+ years of experience of building machine learning solutions, ideally from A-Z
• Experience with Python, R or other programming language used for Data Science and data modeling
• Experience in and good understanding of data analysis techniques
• Preferably, experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure or Google cloud
• Computer vision experience will be considered as an advantage
