Jeff's why and how

While working in fintechs that operate in 30+ markets, we noticed that most loan applicants in South East Asia were rejected because lenders didn’t have enough data on them.

For us, data equals trust and opportunity. And we knew that we could use our expertise to accurately measure creditworthiness using alternative data. So, we decided to build a financial super app to unlock financial services for the underbanked across Southeast Asia, and for the forward-thinking businesses that serve them. The result is Jeff.

Milestones

Behind Jeff’s success lies a financial comparison mechanism that bridges consumers and providers. Tapping into the habits of mobile-first users in SEA, we accumulate alternative data and build a composite credit score, unlocking more services for each user as we help them build their creditworthiness. Having successfully serviced close to 2 million people in South-East Asian markets, we have our eyes set on the broader region.

2022

Expanding to more countries

Jeff is now available in Indonesia and the Philippines as well. The Jeff family has grown to 34 members, and is expanding all the time.

2021

Building our super app

Jeff raises $1 million and adds free credit scores, top-up cashbacks, shopping discount coupons, mobile wallet cashbacks, insurance offers and more.

2020

Entering our first market

Jeff enters Vietnam, onboarding 200K+ users and starting to work with dozens of lenders and other partners.

Starting our journey

Jeff is born out of a desire to create a solution that makes consumer lending across SEA easy and seamless.
